Sit back and let me school you a little bit. Class is now in session. Let’s evaluate whether you are fake and phony or whether you have tapped into what your purpose is.
We all know somebody that dresses to impress, lives to impress and eventually will die trying to impress. It’s okay to appreciate nice things however, if you are constantly buying certain things just so you can try to out shine somebody, then your light has already been blown out. Life should not be about wondering what the next person has to say or even think about you. Live your life for youand not for whoever is looking at you. Stop pretending to be somebody that you are not. Be honest with yourself.
People that try to keep up an image are as fake and plastic as a mannequin. They have no true understanding of what life is really about. If you are covering up whom you “really” are, you will NEVER get the fulfillment that you are searching for. Don’t try to keep up with the “Jones Family”…they AIN’T nobody anyway. Yes I said “ain’t”.
“Plastic” individuals will run their bank account low just to buy items that eventually will have no value. For example big houses they don’t need and/or several cars for each day of the week that they can’t even drive all at once. Waste of money and space!
Are you constantly going on mall shopping sprees? Are you one of the ones that have to have the latest in fashion? Or do you spend your money on things of value and invest more in people rather than items? Sad to say this but people that buy items just to be noticed are really vanishing. At the end of the day nobody cares about what you have or don’t have but rather how you impacted their life. Don’t get caught up in the world’s illusion of what success looks like. Limiting yourself to the “plastic” reality will not getyou anywhere but broke and miserable.
Tap into what life is really about; having worth and value! Get the mindset of being as valuable as money… that means green…“Paper”. Take a poll and the majority would say in this case they would rather have paper over plastic. Know your worth and what makes you stand out in the crowd. Be a leader not a follower. God has given everybody a particular gift and purpose to fulfill while here on Earth.
The world is waiting for YOU to birth your vision. Whatever vision you have is life changing to somebody. Even if you just reach one person with your talents then that is enough to rejoice over. It all starts somewhere.
Respect yourself enough to know that you are somebody!
Repeat these words…” I am somebody. I will use my head; not what’s in between my legs”. Women please don’t get caught up in trying to make opportunities happen for yourself by lowering your standards. That whole “sleep my way to the top” mentality needs to cease. When God promotes you, no man can fire you. Use wisdom when “unleashing your magic.” Connect to the right people versus those “right now” people.
Now do a self-assessment and ask yourself did you relate to anything above. Even if you found yourself relating more to the “plastic” it is never too late to have a new beginning. Make today day one. Unleash your purpose; the sooner the better. You are somebody and God loved you enough to place you here to do something great with your life! Start today!
Now…my fellow readers…what do you choose to be? Paper or plastic?
